We recently have tried out making our own fruit leather. It's actually super easy, doesn't involve alot of ingredients and my daughter enjoyed the process. Plus what kid doesn't like fruit leather!?
We've also done kale chips quite a bit and that's always fun and easy too.
Does anyone have other homemade snacks they've made together that were a hit?
We make apples on a log, instead of celery we substitute apples with peanut butter and a few chocolate chips. High protein, low glycemic index, and sustains energy!
We started making our own trail mixes. Kids get to pick out a few things they like: nuts/seeds, dried fruit and M&M's and we make it together. They get one little tupperware each day and they have to eat it all before getting more the next day. Then they can't just pick and choose what they want, was tired of buying trail mix and them not eating it all.
