I don't know if this will really answer your question. But I feel that it's not a one and done conversation, I hope to keep the conversation going with my daughter as the body is ever changing and growing. I started a question journal with my daughter. It started with a way to practice her writing but she can pose a question about anything to me or I could pose a question to her. Sometimes we go back and forth with small talk and sometimes questions get more in-depth. Often we don't write in it for weeks but it is there when we need to talk about something. We also read a few chapters in the American Girl Book - Is this Normal? We read what was appropriate to get the conversation started and will revisit it again and again when appropriate. I don't have all the words to start a conversation but I like reading a chapter and then breaking in down together. Hope this gives you a few ideas. I'm open to hearing more ideas too.
